About Sarah

Sarah Hopkins Therapy - About Sarah

I grew up first in South Africa and then Normandy. Later, I moved to the UK, where I completed my undergraduate and postgraduate studies.

As an undergraduate, I studied Social Anthropology at the London School of Economics and Political Science. My interest in different cultures and ways of being led me into work in the charity and NGO sectors. This took me to various countries throughout Europe, South America and Africa.

Alongside my work as Psychotherapist, I am a BFA qualified Focusing teacher and practitioner, a Swedish Massage Therapist, and a trainee Death Doula. I have worked with people in a large variety of settings and situations; from ex-child soldiers to corporate executives.

Qualifications

I am currently completing a Doctorate in Existential Psychotherapy with the New School of Psychotherapy and Counselling. This will enable me to become a fully accredited member of the United Kingdom Council of Psychotherapy (UKCP)
